Kelly Langenberg is a thriving performer and teacher with an ever-growing list of accomplishments and performing opportunities. Kelly Langenberg (M.M. De Paul University, B.M., B.M.E. Baldwin-Wallace University) is a classical musician and horn teacher based in the Chicago region. Langenberg currently serves as Applied Faculty at Northern Illinois University and University of Illinois-Chicago, and as an Instructor at Elgin Community College. 

Langenberg’s “ferociously powerful” (ITG Journal, 2014) playing has been heard in orchestral and chamber music settings throughout the United States & abroad, both as a freelance horn and as a member of the Alliance Brass Quintet and Alloy Horn Quartet. Kelly’s performances include The Italian Brass Week Festival, the Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic, Wisconsin Philharmonic, the Battle Creek, Dubuque, Peoria, Lake Forest, Elgin, Kalamazoo, Quad City, Panama City Symphony, and Yucatan (Mexico) symphonies.  Langenberg has also performed live with the Boston Brass, Doc Severinsen, Peter Gabriel, Josh Groban, Il Volo, Celtic Women, Manheim Steamroller, and "Britain's Got Talent" Winner Paul Potts, and other pop artists. Langenberg has presented masterclasses at schools and universities throughout North America and Europe, including the clinics at ILMEA, MMEA, OMEA, the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, and as a Featured Guest Artist at The MidNorth Horn Workshop and The International Horn Society International Symposium, appearing with the Alloy Horn Quartet.  Kelly's continuing passion for orchestral music study has taken her to the Aspen Music Festival, the Kent/Blossom Chamber Music Festival, Pierre Monteux School for Conductors and Orchestral Musicians, and the Chautauqua Institute, and served as a staff counselor for the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.

Kelly has performed live on Iowa Public Television, and can be seen performing on the internationally-released PBS Special Broadcast ‘Ethan Bortnick,”The Power of Music”. Recordings include the Stiletto Brass Quintet with Doc Severinsen (CD Baby label), the Kallima Wind Quintet (Contemporary Record Society Label), and Music for Trumpet and Winds CD featuring John Hagstrom (Albany Records), as well as three albums with the Alliance Brass Quintet.

Her primary teachers include Bernhard Scully, Neil Kimel, Jon Boen, and Hans Clebsch. Ms. Langenberg is the horn professor at Illinois Wesleyan University and North Park University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

 Kelly Langenberg is a Denis Wick Artist and Clinician and a Hans Hoyer Buffet Group USA Horn Artist.  Langenberg earned a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2018 and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Illinois.
